Because Shepherd Neame is committed to doing the right thing for our communities, our people and our environment, we have set out three ambitious key pledges as part of our ongoing People, Pubs & Planet strategy;

Key pledges

  • Net zero carbon for direct emissions by 2030
  • Net zero for scope 3 emissions (i.e. non-Shepherd Neame partners) no later than 2040
  • Zero waste to landfill by 2025

Our extensive investment in new energy-saving initiatives and technology across our pubs and brewery is already demonstrating positive results and, while we recognise there is more to be done, we are proud of our achievements so far. We have also been delighted by the incredible support and enthusiasm for this strategy that we’ve seen from our team members and licensees.
